Here I Am

This year, the churches in Southern California were able to host the annual Vietnamese Camp Meeting. At Mile High Pines Camp, we were joined with our brothers and sisters from San Jose, Oakland, Riverside, Garden Grove, El Monte, and many other location including Vietnam, to worship, praise, and learn more about our loving Heavenly Father.

It was a blessing to be able to fellowship with one another and to hear the Word of God preached. But I believe the biggest blessing was seeing how God answered prayer during the camp meeting. At this camp, I was able to connect with the Vietnamese (speaking) youth of El Monte for the first time in the 4 years I have been attending. We, the youth of both English and Vietnamese were able to gather together to have a long discussion about how we wanted to do more for God and what we could do to help our church spiritually. It was amazing to be able to have the same passion towards the service of God although we had some language barriers.

As the camp meeting came to a close there was a call of dedication to a life of service in the ministry, and those that were convicted by the Holy Spirit stood and came forward. Both youth and adults alike decided to step up and take on the responsibility and task of leadership. In this I learn all .. God needs to be ” able to work through is a willing heart. The camp meeting was a revival and a small step toward Heaven. Our churches have accepted the call of being the remnant church and as we heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us?” Then we said, “Here am I! Send me”(lsaiah 6:8, 9). Let us now continue the work of God in faith, for the path we walk is narrow but worth the effort.
