Between the 26th and 28th of July, our merry band of campers stayed at camp, we participated in games, spiritual devotions and church services. We had chances to meet some new people, learn more about old friends, and to grow closer to God. At the church services and devotions, Pastor Vinh’s inspirational sermon made me feel good. It helped me to understand more about Jesus. We learned about growing closer to each other, growing closer to God and why it is important to do so. Each night we gathered in the Nature Center to sing spiritual songs and to play some fun games. During the daytime we had many activities, including hiking, swimming, canoeing and horsseback riding. On the hikes we saw a few waterfalls and a tree house. The trails were challenging but the views were beautiful. At Jens Lake a few of us took out some canoes and had races down the lake. It was difficult to keep the canoes straight but we all had fun. I watched as some of the people in our group went horseback riding. Even though the horses stopped frequently to rest, everyone had a good time. Camp Cedar Falls was a great experience for me. I learned a lot about people and especially about God. I hope to return next year with all my friends and family.
