Have you ever felt that problems in your life were as big as mountains? At times you may feel that there is
no where else to turn. We long for peace of mind, rest from care. Yet Jesus is reaching out his hands to us, longing to bring us comfort.
In Matthew 17:20 the Bible says, “…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” The more faith we have in our heavenly Father, the more peace of mind we will enjoy.
Sometimes our problems seem too complicated to solve and we feel hopeless. It could be financial problems, marital difficulties, school decisions, job stress, parenting burdens, or a variety of other circumstances. God’s rule for us is just take one day at a time. “As thy days, so shall thy strength be (Deut. 33:25). We must have faith that nothing is impossible with God and trust in his daily care.
We can learn much from children. They have a simple trust in people and hardly worry about the future. Little children just play, do not worry what to eat, what to do tomorrrow, and are very trusting of what their parents say. Jesus says we must have the spirit of children to trust in our heavenly Father. All those who would enter the kingdom of God must become as children. The more we try to be self-sufficient, the more we will have worries. We would prevent much worry by having more faith in God. More faith always brings more peace.
